have reserved the Mother's Day weekend, May 7-9, and
plan to join us again this year. You will recall
that this event was named in memory of Nancy Alm,
who was a past president & active member of ESAL, a
wonderful watercolorist, and friend, until her
death.
PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT DATES

room at The Refuge Inn, be sure to mention that you
are a participant of the Eastern Shore Art League

2. Tourism Commission
prints 125,000
copies of their visitors guide each year. This
year, they want to feature artists on the Eastern
Shore. They will devote a page to the arts and are
offering a discount for ad space. If 16 artists
(visual or performing) shore-wide wish to be in the
guide, the Tourism Commission is offering a rate of
$300 which will be on two additional pages. This
may seem like a lot of money but it may easily
generate sales of your art! I am offering to
prepare a notebook binder of the participating
artists for use by staffs at the new Welcome Center
at the BB-T, Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce
Visitor Center and the north VOT Center at New
Church. I will also train the staff by bringing
them to various art sales and galleries throughout
the Shore so they can send visitors to buy you r art
work. The Guide has generated tremendous media
attention off the shore and you can be a part of
it. If you are interested contact Bob Lentz
rlentz1@verizon.net or 757-442-4295.
